British conductor Jack Gonzalez-Harding is mentored by Sir Simon Rattle and John Carewe. In September 2026, Jack takes up the post of Conducting Fellow with the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester.
During the 2026/27 season, Jack makes his Glyndebourne Festival Opera debut conducting the London Philharmonic Orchestra in Rossini’s Il Turco in Italia. He also debuts with the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester. Next season, Jack returns to Glyndebourne Festival Opera to conduct both opera and concert productions.
Jack is in demand as an assistant conductor to Sir Simon Rattle, Sir Mark Elder and Thomas Ades working with orchestras such as the Berliner Philharmoniker, Lucerne Festival Orchestra, Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra and BBC Symphony Orchestra at the BBC Proms.
Born in 2003, Jack studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama as a keyboardist, during which time highlights included lieder at the Wigmore Hall, a tour of Bach’s Goldberg Variations with excerpts live on BBC Radio 3 and continuo with the Academy of Ancient Music.
